The game this week is a huge one for Seattle and Matt is optimistic.

"I sense a great attitude this week as we prepare for a game few expect us to win." That is what I like to hear about Seattle, that there is a harmony with the team in the face of adversity traveling on the road. The hositle environment that is Soldier Field will be un friendly but Seattle has had time, the whole season, to better understand this oppenent and find their weaknesses.

In my opinion their weakness lies in Rex Grossman because of his ability to throw many interceptions during one game. The turnovers will decide this game but only if Seattle can capitalize on them multiple times.

If Seattle is going to win it is going to take getting in the end zone very early in the game and maintain a lead going into the half. This will help break down Rex's confidence and force him to make bad decisions. I like watching Rex make bad decesions...well the game is at 10am and I will so be watching!!

GO SEAHAWKS!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2007-01-13T22:25:14Z</dcterms:modified>

Seahawks beat Cowboys 21-20

Tonight was game to be marked the Seahawks history books. In a Wild Card Playoff Game the Seahawks hosted the Cowboys at Quest Field. From everything I was seeing the Cowboys were picked to win but the game tells a different story that has 68K plus Seahawks Fans happier than a puppy with two peters.

The day started off pretty wild with the guys picking me up at noon to head to the big city, Seattle, and search for our epic parking spot. The spot was just West of Quest Field in a strip of people that looked like Hawk Alley. We set up camp with a power inverter running the TV so we could watch the Indianapolis and Redskins game and shortly there after it was pandemonium. People were throwing the football and playing ping pong all around us. As we chillaxed the day wore on and the excitement gained ahead of steam leading into kick off.

View: Seahawks beat Cowboys pics

We arrived at Quest Field with everyone else in Seattle but that is how we like it. Early on some ruckus was on the verge of breaking out with Seahawks and Cowboys fan's tensions running high and finally we made it to our seats. The wind was blowing and knifing through the gear but jumping around and yelling in the prelude kept us warm.

The Seahawks won the toss and elected to receive and on their first drive were able to put 3 points but the didn't deter the Cowboys because they answered back with 3 over their own. Right now I wasn't stressed since it was still the first quarter and all of a sudden the Seahawks had the ball again and were going down field. To our dismay it ended in another 3, I loved the points but was just hoping for the TD, and the Seahawks retook the lead 6-3.

After the kickoff the Cowboys received a miracle and they marched down field a received a TD to wind down the half to make the score 6-10 Cowboys. All of Seahawks fans were just in ah of what transpired; not being happy campers we rooted our team on (no sense in booing as that is only hurtful to a team). After the half Hasselbeck started gunning for out tight end Jerramy Stevens. The tight end out of Washington proceeded to catch everything that was thrown at him and one of those was for a TD placing the Seahawks ahead 12-10 but wait...the Seahawks go for the two point conversion and don't get it.

Shortly after the Cowboys kick off returner ran a ball back for a TD to bring the score 12-17 Cowboys. What kind of horse hockey was that that he went un checked all the way down the field. Being a tad dishearten Goingbigger had to get everyone back in the game by continuing to yell is ass off!!

Then when it seemed that the Seahawks recovered fumbled in the enzone but the ruling on the field was challenged and won by the Cowboys and it was finally ruled a safety. With the score 14-17 Cowboys it started top look really shaky for the Seahawks but have no fear this is our house.

The Seahawks go back down field to get a TD and extra point to bring the score to 21-17 to force a TD to win. With the clock winding down the Cowyboys were held on the goal line and forced to kick a field goal but Romo botched a snap at the end of the game. Romo tried to run the ball in but he was kept out of the endzone to give the Seahawks the ball with just over one minute to go in the game.

The Seahawks moved the chains twice to run the clock down to zero and secure the win in the first round of the playoffs. The crowd when completely nuts and we all huggin and dishin out the High-5's. Onto the next round of the playoffs and this one will be on the road. During the prefunk I watched the Colts beat the Chiefs (nice work Marcie) to continue their march to the big game.

Tomorrow will dictate where the Seahawks go to play next and continue their march to the Superbowl and you can guarantee I'll be watching.

GO SEAHAWKS!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2007-01-08T00:50:02Z</dcterms:modified>

Seahawks host the Dallas Cowboys

Saturday evening the Seattle Seahawks host the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the NFC Playoff race. The game is going to be good and the Seattle Seahawks are going to have to highly aware of the long ball and Romo is definitely capable of passing down the field. The injury report shows Trufant as doubtful and last time I knew that Herndon is out for a broken ankle but that isn't on the report.

If the Seattle Seahawks can stop the deep ball then they have an excellent chance at beating down the Dallas Cowboys. The defense has been doing extremely well against the run game so there should be no problem stopping Jones. If Dallas can never get a run game going and the Seattle Seahawks bring constant pressure then Romo will never be able to get comfortable in the pocket and make anything happen.

Winning this game would be huge and give the Seattle Seahawks a lot of confidence going into face the Chicago Bears. The good thing is that they have been down this road last year and most of the team is the same that was here last year. That plays a pivotal role in how a team will perform under the pressure of the playoffs.

My friends and I are planning on getting to Seattle around noonish to get are pre-funk on and have some serious fun. So far the palns is to bring a TV and watch the Indianapolis game prior to going into Quest Field and having some cream cheese dogs and load up on gut bomb food.

I will be posting photos in the photo album after the game so come back and check them out! I love taking pictures of the games and my friends...cheers to the digital camera. Well gotta run and a full recap will be posted here after the game as well.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2007-01-06T06:11:24Z</dcterms:modified>

Seattle Seahawks Playoffs Lead-up

I am totally stoked for tomorrow where the Seattle Seahawks host the Dallas Cowboys in the first playoff game at Quest Field. It is going to be a huge game and loud as can be. The guys and I are planning on getting there super earlier to capitalize on the free parking like normal and then stay in the city until the game starts. Last year during the Seahawks vs the Redskins and the Seahawks vs the Panthers game Seattle was just jammin before the game with BBQ's, motor homes and parties. Brian is thinking about taking the van down with a TV so we can watch the Indy game before our game! That would kick but since I have never done that before. Well I gotta run and get some work done today :)

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2007-01-05T23:47:09Z</dcterms:modified>

Seahawks Playoffs

Playoffs are finally here and to all the haters on YouTube, your team didn't make it, Idiots! The Hawks are hosting the Cowboys and it will be a good game to start our run to the Superbowl. Dallas is on a huge loosing streak so they may be due for a win but not in our house. The Cowboys will have to wait till next year to get any type of win.

There will be more to come but my first inclination is: PAIN, LOTS AND LOTS OF PAIN!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2007-01-04T04:13:29Z</dcterms:modified>

49ers vs Seahawks

I have had enough of this loosing to crappy team stuff and times need to change. Last week Hasselbeck (my boy) had a great game but we still couldn't come through with a win...Goingbigger wants Pain tons and tons of Pain!! Gore is going down he won't be doing Goingbigger bigger stuff. Maybe he should start a site called Gore:Sucks.com!! I want to see him beat down and it is garuanteed that Goingbigger will be at the game helling at him and the rest of the 49ers.

Goingbigger's Prediction: Pain...Goingbigger Likes Pain

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-12-13T08:17:05Z</dcterms:modified>

Pregame against the Cards

This weekend the Hawks are on the road again facing the Cardinals. It is a must win to keep building our lead in the NFC. The Hawks need to carry the momentum into the game that they had at the end of the Sunday Night Denver game. My mom and her boyfriend flew to AZ for the game to represent the Blue & Green!!

If the Hawks win this game they move to 9-4 and have a comanding lead in the NFC and a great shot at home field advantage for the palyoffs. Another big game this week is the Dallas vs Saints game. They are both tied with the Hawks at 8-4 so this is a desisive game for the NFC. After this week there will be either one or two teams tied for 2nd in the NFC and I sure hope the Bears loose. Their defense can't keep winning their games. My prediction of the Bears is really starting to come through, Rex will be the downfall the team.

The Hawks are going to rule the roost in AZ and bludgeon the Cards to death and then feast on their carcasus!! But to do that the Hawks have to stop the run game (our week point all season) and they have a great running back that is waiting to have a huge game, Edgerrin James. AZ has weapons in the recieving core as well like Fitzgerald and a great rookie quarterback Leinart. Even I don't the Cards I do like Leinart.

I have been saying it all year, we need to pressure the quarterback to force bad decisions and create turnovers. But it seems that later part of the year we have been having trouble doing that. Last week we forced tons of turnovers all over the field and we need to do it again while getting our offense into the end zone. That way we can have a great football game and show the NFC that the Hawks paly Superbowl football!!

Goingbigger's Prediction: Pain, lots and lots of Pain!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-12-09T20:49:55Z</dcterms:modified>

Seahawks beat the Broncos 23-20

What a stress fest Sunday Night’s game was. Between the turnovers, both teams, and all the punting I wasn’t sure if any points where going to be put on the board.

Hot Link: Goingbigger & a NFC Championship Ring

The opening half was a wild one with the Broncos scoring first with a field goal and a TD. Being down 0-10 it didn’t look good for the Seahawks because moving the football was difficult with the quality defense Denver was showing. But late in the first half Cutler made a rookie mistake, instead of taking the sack he tried to force the football and it went right into a Seattle defender arms resulting in a defensive touchdown.

Like the Bears, the Seahawks defense was keeping us alive. When the half ended it seemed that the Hawks would have to find some serious rhythm in order to score an offensive TD. Out of the locker room they came with rhythm in full stride and first downs were common place, thank goodness.

Hasselbeck managed to connect to Darrell Jackson for a few long passes and the defense produced more turnovers to get the Hawks into their first lead of the game with a passing TD from Hasselbeck. On the kick off, Josh Brown came in and gave a boot and on the return, Kelly Jennings got the strip and Brown laid a hit on the kick off return that would make any linebacker proud (Our kicker is so much badder than yours). But that is not the end of the drama, no no, far from it.

With Josh Brown missing to first half field goals, very uncharacteristic of him, 40, 53 yrd, he put two through the uprights after a Hasselbeck passing TD. With the score being 20-13 with 3:30 left in the 4th quarter and Denver have no time-outs it looked as if it was in the bag. Wrong-O

Cutler connected on a 68 yrd pass that was taken to the house. On that play there was 5 missed tackles that lead to the TD. It is now 20-20 with less that 2 minutes on the clock and it Seahawks football.

By now the bald spot was showing on the melon because I was ripping my hair out! Holy Cow! How with this one end?

Hasselbeck starts the final drive of the game from their own 20 after a holding penalty on the kick off. Ok this is manageable we can drive this to the house, plenty of time on the clock. Hasselbeck makes a few great passes to move the Hawks down field and within striking distance of the end zone but Coach has a different game plan.

When the Hawks get into field goal range they bring out Josh “Mr. Clutch” Brown and with the game on the line he nails a perfect kick to give the Hawks the lead of 23-20 with 5 seconds left on the clock.

After the kick off, Denver went for the lateral play but with no avail. Denver turns it over and the Hawks recover with zero time left on the clock. Seahawks win at Mile High Stadium in a gut wrenching 23-20 upset!

The Hawks move to 8-4 and are currently in second place in the NFC. Tonight will be a show stopper with the Dallas Cowboys (7-4) take on the New Orleans Saints (7-4) in a NFC second place scramble. It will be a good game and I can’t wait to watch.

Hope your team did well this week and before this ends I got to give a shout out to Bronco Danny for a well played game!! Sry Bro!!

Next week we continue our road trip when we face off against Arizona Cardinals and Matt Leinart.

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-12-04T18:33:49Z</dcterms:modified>

Seahawks beat Packers 34-24 in the snow

I took yesturday off work, today as well, to meet up with Lauren and Carrie in Seattle (I met them Friday) before they jumped on their flight back home to Florida. We spent some time at the EMP and Pike Place but the time came all to soon and they had to leave me. So what did I do? I went to the Monday Night Football game.

Monday Night Football was a game for the record books and ironic at the same time. The Green Bay Packers fly to the Great Northwest and have the very first snow game at Quest Field where the Seattle Seahawks showed the old pro (Bret Favre) who else can play in the snow.

When I arrived the snow clouds were just starting to approach the stadium and by the coin toss the snow was really coming down. The Hawks won the coin toss and elected to recieve but on the second play of the game Hasselbeck (first game back since a knee injury) threw the ball into the face mask of a defending sending the ball sky ward. It was intercepted and now the Packers had the ball on the 20 some yard line. Not good for us and being so early in the game.

Hot Link: Photo Album

Favre made good on the turnover by getting the Packers into the endzone for 6 points and after the point after it was 0-7 Packers. With more than 11 minutes left in the first quarter things were just not going our way early on in this Monday Night matchup. Burleson got another great run back and the Hawks now a chance to get some points. Now it was time for the Alexander show.

Shaun starting touching the ball like crazy and was able to move the football as well as the chains. Seattle pushed into Green Bay territory but once again Hasselbeck was picked off. Now I was like: is the whole game going to be like this?

Green Bay now had the ball and moved down field but ending up having to punt. The Seattle defense was totally keeping us in the hunt as well as Josh "Mr. Clutch" Brown. At one point the Packers attempted a field goal but that bad boy was BLOCKED and the Pack was denied but by the end of the first half they did manage to put up another 7 from a fumble-to-recovery-touchdown. Brown put up 4 field goals in the first half to make the score 12-14 Packers.

At the half way mark Shaun Alexander had rushed for a smasking 106 yards. Jackpot!! #37 is back in full affect and is wreaking havoc!!

With the snow still coming down we all hoped for more effeciency from Hasselbeck (He is the Man though) and effeciency is what the fans recieved. The second half was a totally different picture and passes were being completed and we were getting into the endzone. The Pack managed to get another TD but the Hawks answered back with 2 TDs and a 2 point coverstion to take the lead 27-21. But this was not the end of the second half point run by Seattle.

Another TD was in ordered and delivered by the Hawks and the Packers only managed to get a field goal, hahaha. The score is now 34-24 Seattle. I am loving it.

Then the Packers have the ball and what do they do? Use all their timeouts with over 3 minutes left in the game. Why would they do that? Don't know but I like it!! With the clock winding down and Favre looking for the endzone he managed to throw 2 more interceptions to seal their fait and lose at Quest Field in the first ever snow game! Mark that in the history books!

Game Stats

Shaun Alexander - 201 yrds, 40 carries *franchise record

Matt Hasselbeck - 17/36, 157 yrds, 3 TDs, 3 INT

Josh Brown - 4/4, 2xp, 14 points, 45yrd long

DJ Hacket - 1 TD

Darrel Jackson - 1 TD

Jerramy Stevens - 1 TD

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-11-28T19:37:38Z</dcterms:modified>

Seahawks lose to the 49ers

If that was a sad showing of football I don’t know what is. The Seahawks couldn’t manage to get on the board in the first half and the two interceptions both lead to San Francisco putting points on the board.

In the first half the Hawks defense was the only thing keeping them in the game. They held the 49ers to 2 TDs and 2 field goals making the score 20-0 at the end of the first half. Down by 20 always sucks but it is still within striking distance of the offense if and if and only if the offense can move the football and get on the board.

During halftime, it is my guess that Holmgren let the team have it. The penalties and the turnovers is what killed us in the first half and that allowed the 49ers to control the time of possession. It was plain ugly, ugly, ugly…oh did I mention it was ugly?

Whatever Holmgren said to the guys during the half must have worked because they came out moving the football (getting first downs) and getting into the endzone bring the score to 20-14. It looked like a comeback was in order and the Hawks would come out of this with another W. Newp…that didn’t happen.

I don’t like typing the word “turnover” when referring to Hawks football but that is the story of the game. In the closing minutes the Seahawks were going for it on 4th down to keep their hopes alive. On a 4th and 2 the go to the MVP, Shaun Alexander, and he was stuffed for no gain. Ugh…that looked to be the end of it.

But wait…the 49ers turned it over and it was Hawks football with jus tover 2 minutes on the clock. This could be it…they just might do it. Newp…Wallace threw his 3rd interception at the end of the game. Ok now it is over…the 49ers will just down out the game.

What is this? They are going for the endzone, the infamous nail in the coffin. Once again the defense kept us in the game by forcing San Francisco to go for a field goal. Ok now the game is really over.

They miss, OMFG, they miss…it is Seahawks football with enough time on the clock but no timeouts remaining. Wallace is going to the air looking for the bomb but every pass is off target and the only pass he manage to throw good hit Mack Strong for a gain of 8. Strong tried to do the lateral comeback amazing play but with no avail.

The Seattle Seahawks loose 20-14 to make their record 6-4. Now they have just a once game lead over the San Francisco 49ers that move to 5-5. Ugh the agony…

We have to start playing better if we are going to be a contender in the playoffs. Right now we are squeaking out wins and loosing games we should be winning. Next week the Seattle Seahawks get their second shot at a Monday night game when we host the Green Bay Packers.

I am going to try and get their early so I can get a shot of Bret Farve. It could be his last season and the last time he is ever in Seattle so it will be a great game to go watch. Well that is all for this edition of Hawks football.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-11-27T07:15:32Z</dcterms:modified>

Seahawks beat Rams 24-22

The Seattle Seahawks beat the St. Louis Rams 24-22 with 9 seconds left in the game to take a commanding leading of the NFC West with a record of 6-3.

1st Quarter: The Hawks defense hold the Rams to a three and out and the offense starts to get into a rhythm. With a combination of Mo Mo Morris runs and Wallace passes, the Hawks get into the red zone but a Rams defended gets to Wallace and forces a fumble that is returned for a TD. Aarg the agony. Not to be held our of the end zone, Seattle marches back down field and scores a TD on a short pass to Darrell Jackson.

Score: 7-3

2nd Quarter: The Rams threatened a TD a few times and finally got in a Steven Jackson run and a managed to kick a ball through the uprights. The Hawks needed to make something happen and they did. Moving the football with Mo Mo and a combinations of throws to the receivers, Seneca Wallace was able to get back into the red zone and then hit Jerramy Stevens for a TD pass. Rock on!! With more yells and cheers coming from the fans it was on like donkey kong.

Score: 14-13

3rd Quarter & 4th Quarter: This where the major action happens. The Rams manage to get another field goal and a TD. Instead of going for extra point they opted for a two point conversion. The Rams couldn’t convert but they would get another try due to a penalty, BS. On the second attempt they still couldn’t manage to get in. Heck YEA!! GO SEAHAWKS.

Being down by 8 points the Hawks really had to get going because the third quarter was marked by three and outs for them. The Seahawks held the Rams to another three and out and forced the punt. On the punt return, Nate Burleson returns the punts 90 yard for a touchdown. OMG it was crazy and out of control. Our first punt return of the game comes at the best possible moment. The score is now Ram 22 Seahawks 21.

Down by 1 point the Hawks need a field goal. Using Mo Mo some more Wallace gets the Hawks into field goal position with 9 second lefts on the clock. Who do you call in now? Only the best kicker in the NFL and the guy that has been clutch for the Hawks, Josh “The Leg” Brown. From 36 yards it put its perfectly through the uprights and there is now 5 second left on the clock. After the kick off the Rams try to lateral the ball but end up fumbling and the Hawks win!!

Final Score: 24-22

That is another one for the history books and a massive game to boot. I can talk today from all the screaming but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Next Week: The Seattle Seahawks are on a two game winning streak going on the road to a surprising San Francisco 49ers team.

My Prediction: Pain, lots and lots of Pain!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-11-13T18:49:18Z</dcterms:modified>

Seattle Seahawks school the Oakland Raiders

Seattle Seahawks shut out the Oakland Raiders 16-0 on Monday Night Football.

The first drive for the Raiders ended in a three and out. The Hawks were a totally different story though. Seneca Wallace went 3 for 3, passing for 68 yards and TD. Heck yea, now that is what I am talking about. The drive looked solid and from the passing to the establishment of a running game.

The second drive for the Raiders was a mirror of the first, three and out. The Seattle Seahawks marched down field and go back in the red zone. But a few weird penalties on both teams made for an interesting end to the drive. Josh Brown was called in to boot a field a field goal and the score was 10-0 Hawks.

After this the Hawks really couldn’t muster much and the rest of the game and they were only able to put up two more field goals. Late in the fourth quarter, when the Hawks were on the goal looking to put some more points on the board and after the play was over, #91 of the Raiders did so unbelievable that it was like WTF? Stevens and Britton got into a little shoving match and Britton kneed him in the balls. What the heck is this dude thinking? He can just get away with something like this? #91 was ejected from the game and I hope he gets penalized but the NFL commission for his unsportsmanlike like conduct.

Moving on, this Monday win marks the Seattle first win in 4 games and puts them in a tie for second place with Atlanta in the NFC Championship race. The Hawks need to really focus to put up another win and keep it going until all our starters are back. Reports are saying that Alexander will be back in the line up this weekend. This will be major improvement to our run game, Morris did a heck of a job on Monday Night, and it should make it harder for people to cover and pass rush Wallace.

This weekend the Hawks play at home against the St. Louis Rams and yours truly will be there, HELLLZ YEAAA!! I’ll take mondo pictures of the craziness and post them here so Until the next time….GO SEAHAWKS!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-11-09T21:38:13Z</dcterms:modified>

Seahawks move to 4-3 with a loss at Arrowhead.

The Seattle Seahawks lost today on the road at Kansas City but Seattle's offense looked awesome for playing their backups. Seneca Wallace made his first professional start today and passed 15/30, 198 yards, 3 TDs and 2 INT.

Kansas was able to put 3 points in their opening drive while holding the Hawks to a punt. Then the first points Seattle put on the board came from a Hawk's forced fumble to give the offense excellent field possession. Hackett was subbed in and I said to my buddies "look for Hackett to be in on this play" and BOOM! Wallace to Hackett for a TD.

Hawks lead 7-3

After the kick off, the defense allowed the Chiefs to march down field and put up another 10 points, field goal and TD to retake the lead 7-13. The Hawks got the ball back but had to punt and the Chiefs were back on offense. The Seattle defense held the Chiefs to a 50 yard field goal attempt, but all of a sudden, a bad snap and the place holder had to role out. He panicked and fairy threw the ball and it went straight up and hit the ground. The Hawks recover the football and ran it all away down field for a 60 yard fumble recovery for a TD.

Hawks lead 14-13

Then right before then end of the first half. Kansas City gets back on the field and score another TD. OMG What happened? Out lead was gone and there is less than a minute on the clock. Seattle couldn't move the ball so Chiefs lead at the Hawks by six, 14-20.

The second half started and it looked to be all over for the Seattle Seahawks. The Chiefs put another TD on the board to lead by 13. Then the Hawks started to rally in the 4th quarter. Putting up 14 more points to come from behind to take the lead by 1 point. OMG, the apartment was going f***'n crazy (Brian, Riley & Mike were over) and we almost lost the bean dip and nacho cheese. The hoot and hollas where sounding off in here but the game wasn't over.

Hawks lead 21-20

With less then 7 minutes on the play clock the Chiefs, eat up time on their path to another TD. Then what is this? The offense is on the field for a 2-pont conversion. And WTF? They got it!! Ah No! The Seattle Seahawks are going to need a full TD just to tie and send the game into overtime. Now the Hawks start from their own 20-30 yard line, I can't remember, and couldn't do anything. Wallace was back in the pocket and threw, ball tipped, Chiefs intercept, $%#@. But What is Branch doing? He stripped the ball back and got two feet in bounds but the official's ruling on the field was a Chiefs interception. Holmgren doesn't like the refs call and we don't either, out flies the red flag.

After review of the play, Branch stripped the ball away from Allen and hand possesion with two feet in bounds, Seahawks football with a first down. By this time, I thought I was having a stroke. Ok 4 more chances but the news wasn't good. The Hawks turned it over on downs and the Chiefs won 28-35. Crapola!!

The Seattle Seahawks played good football but it was a few big plays, like last wee, that hurt us. But we are missing some of our biggest starters and IMO it is difficult to say the Hawks didn't play well because they did. Next week, the Seattle Seahawks play Monday Night Football at home against the Oakland Raiders. Let's show the nation that we can win and win by a lot!! The road to the playoffs still has to go through Seattle.

And in other news: It looks like I will have to redo my Hawks list. They revamped their website so the URLs don't work. I'll get to it soon and I might do them differently. Go check out their changes at Seahawks.com.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-10-31T07:08:01Z</dcterms:modified>

Seattle Seahawks Week 8

This weekend the Seattle Seahawks are going to have to play with vengeance and a hunger that they want to get to the Superbowl this year.

The injury is way to big for us right now and having our Probowl quarterback and MVP running back out of the lineup it is going to be extremely difficult to win in Kansas City. Seneca Wallace will make his first regular season start is a hostile environment and he will have to get into a grove early and not a bad grove.

It will highly beneficial if Holmgren lets Wallace run and use his athletic ability to disrupt the Chiefs defense. He can play Vick style football and maybe that is what need during the injury period the team is going through.

I think the Hawks are still a winning football team and have the potential to win tough road games. If the Hawks can stop the run game then we will be fighting an uphill battle all day long.

So Seattle lets travel to Kansas City and to some smashing.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-10-29T22:02:05Z</dcterms:modified>

Seattle Seahawks vs Minnesota Vikings

Last Sunday was a sad day in the Emerald City with the Seattle Seahawks losing to the Minnesota Vikings 31-13. The game started of great with the Hawks defense holding the Vikings to a first drive field goal then it was our turn to take the field.

Matt Hasselbeck connected to Darrell Jackson for a 72 yard TD reception and it looked like the Hawks were going to pound on the Vikings. The teams exchanged punts and entered the half with a score all tied at 10-10. After this point is was all down hill but the loss was not the worst thing though. In the third quarter and defense line man rolled into Matt Hasselbeck’s right knee.

The crowd watched in shock as Matt rolled on the ground holding his knee and we all feared the worse. The initial reports are that is a knee sprain and Hasselbeck is going to be out for at least 3 weeks. This is not good because the Seattle Seahawks are faced with a long line of injuries and our MVP has still yet to return to the field.

Hasselbeck’s backup is young Seneca Wallace, who played for the remainder of last week’s game, who is going to get a large helping of snaps and playing time. Even though we lost last week, Wallace did show he may have what it takes to win football games.

The question that a lot of people are asking is Holmgren going to use the athletic ability of Wallace similar to a Micheal Vick or he is going to keep him in the pocket like the traditional west coast offense? So far Holmgren is not saying and I don’t blame him. Why share secrets with other teams especially when we have a new and relatively inexperience quarter back.

Our defense also has to step it up and not allow 95 yard rushing TD’s and deep passes. It seemed that the Hawks were blowing coverage for the whole second half, except for a few good plays.

ARG, this not the way we wanted to come off a huge win over the St. Louis Rams. The good things we are still leading our division with a 4-2 record but the race for home field advantage for the playoffs is going to tight. We need everyone in the NFC to start loosing and us to get our momentum back.

This Sunday we are on the road to face the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs had a good game last Sunday but right now they’re hit-and-miss at best. Lets go on the round and do some pounding.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-10-24T17:18:07Z</dcterms:modified>

Seattle Seahawks vs Minnesota Vikings: Pregame

After last weeks over-time win over the St. Louis Rams, the Seattle Seahawks are finally home at Quest Stadium to face the 3-2 Minnesota Vikings. Last week the Hawks looked slow during the first half then came out for the second half with vengeance. How will the game lay out this week?

Well that is what I am here to tell ya. The Seattle Seahawks are 4-1 and leading the NFC West with a game out home and since it has been over a year since the Hawks have lost a game at home the odds are truly in our favor. There are many things that the Vikings are going to have to think about: Hasselbeck, Tatupu, Peterson, Branch, Morris, Jackson, Jones (best player in the NFL), Wistrom and the one and only Mack Strong and Josh Brown.

The 12th Fan will be yelling and screaming their asses off as well so the Vikings offense will have to pay attention to the ball. While they are worried about not jumping the snap count the Seattle defense will be showing blitz so Brad Johnson better pay attention. Just a forewarning Bran, you will be getting off the ground a lot.

My prediction is PAIN, LOTS AND LOTS OF PAIN!!....RIP HIS HEAD OFF...RIP IT OFF!!

To be effective the Seattle offense is going to have to keep the air in the football and bring everyone is the game. Spreading the football around to the receivers, tight-end even short passes to our running backs will keep the Vikings defense spread out and guessing. This will enable Seattle to establish a run game and keep marching the football down field. This is all dependent on our offensive lining giving Hasselbeck good pass protection so he is not getting off the ground. His ribs are probably still sore from the beatings they have been taking all season.

1hr 15 minutes till game time....I gotta run and get ready...

GO SEAHAWKS!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-10-22T21:07:08Z</dcterms:modified>

Quest Field: Staduim Bombing Threat

Have you heard this crap yet? The Seattle Times reported in there article A threat of "dirty bombs" dismissed, the that multiple football stadiums were threatened with dirty bombs including the Seattle Seahawks' Quest Field. The source was said to be a young man that has no ties with terrorist groups and the threat appeared to be phony.

How could anyone make such a threat? What makes people want to threaten and kill innocent people? Let's all be stupid and kill people....come on...use that thing between your ears called a "brain". It was put there to be used for constructive thought not reckless hate. These type of people disgust me, they are cowards and just plain idiots!

How can things progress when they are constantly being destroyed and rebuilt? Looking at Iraq, the different factions are constantly blowing buildings, killing innocent people and disrupting daily lives. Its a self defeating strategy that does not lead to progression but to regression. As the US spends billions of dollars to rebuild the country these dirt bags keep blowing stuff up. Then they blame the US for it happening...wow that is a one way to influence local policy, morons.

The hatred acts that are happening through out the world, either for personal or religious reasons, are horrendous and need to be stopped. There is an old adage that says fight force with force. If they want to blow up building and people then I say we blow them up. The world will be a safer place without these dirt bags.

The Hawks will be at Quest Field with 68,000 others bringing the noise and pain to the Vikings, more to come on that tomorrow.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-10-19T19:47:02Z</dcterms:modified>

Seattle Seahawks lead the NFC West

Sunday afternoon was a game for the season. The Seattle Seahawks battled the St Louis Rams in a divisional shoot out where these two teams were tied for first place.

The Rams were the first to get the ball rolling. On their first possession, Bulger pass for a 42 yard pass to give the Rams some breadthing room. That pass set up a drive which would end in 7 points for the St Louis. But not going to be out done. Matt Hasselbeck marched down the field to answer back with 7 points of their own. Tied at 7-7 this looked like a divisional rivaly game which would settle who would be in first place.

After the Hawks first possession they seemed to fall apart through the rest of the first half and even Josh Brown missed a short field goal, 34 yards, with the ball hit both uprights before bouncing out. When does that happen? THe Rams put up 14 unanswered points and the Seawks could never get out of their 30 yard line with out punting. It was looking nasty for the Seattle Seahawks and possibly a repeat of the Hawks loss against the Chicago Bears. The half ended with a score of 21-7 Rams.

The third quarter was total different story. Hasselbeck and the gang came out like vetran players and put on a clinic. Scoring touchdowns and field goals the Hawks answered back and eventually taking the lead late in the 4th quarter. With the score 21-27 and 3 minutes left on the clock, the Seattle Hawk looked as if this one was in the bag. Not in Buldgers mind though. With a 60+ yard pass to Holt, which was bobbled, he maintained possession and ran in it for a TD and with the extra point good the score was 28-27 Rams with 1:43 left on the clock.

My friends and I were in complete shock and now it looked like the Rams would win by one point. But Hasselbeck was not finished. With no time outs and 1:43 on the clock, he passed, passed and passed more for consecutive first downs to get the Hawks into field goal range. All of a sudden with, the field goal unit on the line, 4 seconds on the game clock, the Hawks get a penalty. Oh NO!! It was a illegal formation, not a offsides, so there was no mandatory run off since it wasn't a false start by the offense.

The Seattle Seahawks were assessed a 5 yard penalty making it a 54 yard field goal attempt to win the game. Josh Brown came in and booted and it went through with time expiring on the clock. Josh Brown KICK ASS!! The best kicker in the league!!

OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE IT...SEAHAWKS WIN WITH A 54 YARD FIELD GOAL!!! WAHOOOOO

All of were jumping around, screaming, yelling and just celebrating to the maximum. The Seattle Seahawks win the game and take over the first place in the NFC West. That is the game of the year so far.

Matt Hasselbeck - 19/35, 265 yrds, 3 TDs, 19 yrd rush

Deion Branch - 2 TD's, 76 yrds
Darrell Jackson - 1 TD, 94 yrds

Josh Brown - 3/4, 49-49-54 (game winning field goal) missed a 34

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-10-18T17:01:48Z</dcterms:modified>

Seattle Seahawks vs St. Louis Rams Pregame

Well it is almost here. After waiting two weeks for another Hawks game it will be here in two days. This week the Seattle Seahawks square off against their divisional rivals the St. Louis Rams. Both teams are tied for first in the NFC West and only one will be on top at the end of the week.

The Hawks are coming off a brutal loss and a bye week. The bye week has given the Seahawks to regroup and to heal. Our players have been faced with injury and it looks if we will have our Tighten End, Jeremy Stevens back for this weeks game, he isn't listed on the injury report. I think lacking the tight end position has really effected our overal performance.

Alexander is still out but I know we can win without him. I would love to see him back in the line up.

It is going to be a great game and it will show that Seattle is the team to beat in the NFC. In a press release by Boston Herald they are saying this about the match up, "the feeling here is that St. Louis is more pretender than contender, and the Rams will be a bit overmatched by the defending NFC champions."

I completely agree! The Rams barely squeeked out a win over the Packers last week on a Bret Farve fumble in the last minute of the game. If they want to beat us it is going to take more than luck. I am preparing for a super beating my the Seattle Seahawks with a final score of 35-13 Hawks!

RIP THERE FACES OFF...RIP EM OFF...GET EM GET EM!!

In other News: Worthlessberger is Gay. Yes, it is true and in a press release on October 10, 2006 the truth finally comes out. This update was brought to you by the one and only Grinch.

Well football season is in full swing on MSN Spaces and the comments, images and slander is on full tilt. Grinchy and Priness Boobie have been going at for 5 weeks now. Seahawks and Steeler photo editing is crazy and even Goingbigger has been caught up in it. Here are some the best pictures from the battle zone.

It is good for the to go regroup after that major loss to the Chicago Bears. There hasn't been a whole lot of news on the Seattle Seahawks. Alexander is still out with the broken bone is his foot and won't be ready for next week and Rhodes hell isn't to good, Get Better Guys, were rooting for ya.

Holmgren decided to give the guys this week off to regroup and hit it this coming week. The Hawks go back on the road to face our divisional rivals the St Louis Rams. The Seattle Seahawks and the St Louis Rams are both 3-1 on the season and co-lead the NFC West. There will be only one leader after next Sunday, GO SEAHAWKS!! I'll probably have friends over that game as well. Make tons of food, turn the tv up real loud and yell at it for a few hours!

Last night my buddy Chris and his wife Lindsey came over to carve up some pumpkins. Exciting Friday night huh, but it was actually pretty fun and my first pumpkin took me forever but it was worth it. Check out the master piece.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-10-08T00:19:08Z</dcterms:modified>

Hawks Lost...

Well this last Sunday the Seattle Seahawks lost their first game of the year to the Chicago Bears...ba humbug! The Hawks kicked two field goals for 6 points. The Bears on the other hand racked up a massive 37 against us. Not are best showing that is for sure but this week they at least have a bye week. Now they can regroup and play some football the rest of the season. It seems we just can't build momentum. Princess Boobie had to point the loss out to me :( At least I beat her husband in fantasy football. hahahha...I'll take a win however I can. Anyhoo gotta get back to work :(

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-10-08T00:03:33Z</dcterms:modified>

Hawks vs Bears

The battle of the buldge is going on this Sunday night with the Seattle Seahawks traveling to Soldier Field to take on another 3-0 team, the Chicago Bears. It will be a great game because both teams are 3-0, have great defenses but the Seahawks have a higher powered offense.

Here are some statistics on the match up from the Seattle Seahawks article.

Seahawks are 6-2 on Sunday Night Football
Seahawks are 6-2 against the Bears
Seahawks have won the last two games in the series
This is the 16th time Holmgren has faced the Bears

The odds are in our favor but we all know how quickly that can change. Hasselbeck is going to have to come out of the gate with the cannon while using 4 and 5 receiver sets. We need to shake up the Bears defense to open our run game. With Alexander out with a broke foot we are going to have rely on Strong and Morris in our back field. Weaver, are other FB, is not on the disable list so he should see some playing time and could through an unanticipated monkey wrench into the Bears defense.

The Hawks offensive line has to work about the Bears star linebacker, Brian Urlacher. At 6' 4" and 258 he is a serious threat to any quarterback. Over the past two year the Bears have really made a name form themselves by playing great defense and bringing the pain.

Look for both teams to play there heart in the Battle of the Buldge because this is a NFC showdown with two 3-0 facing off on SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL.

That totally sucks. He broke it during last Sunday's game against the Giants where the Hawks won 42-30. Only time will tell how this will effect our line up but with all the other injuries on offense this is a big blow. Being last years MVP, Shaun was a top producing player each and every game and as Holmgren put it "You lose the MVP for a while, it's a hit," Holmgren said. "Let's face it, he's the MVP. We're not going to sugarcoat it." We did loose him last years playoff game versus the Redskins when he got knocked out in the first quarter. Now our other players have to really step it up. It is sad that he will be out but that doesn't mean we can't win, read the full article. Holmgren also said, "I don't think it will be real lengthy," and "Now, he just has to stay off of it and let it heal." Get Better Shaun becuase we already miss ya buddy! Let's rally in the face of adversity and continue to play Superbowl football. GO SEAHAWKS!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-09-29T02:14:27Z</dcterms:modified>

Seattle Seahawks vs New York Giants

In today's game, the Seattle Seahawks hosted the New York Giants in a game that was a rematch of last years. Last year the Giants missed 3 game winning field goals which two of those came in over time. This was a totally different story.

in the first play of the game, Hasselbeck (my boy) threw an inception. It sucked but two plays later the Seattle defense intercepted Manning and ran it back to inside the end zone. Hasselbeck came out and got the huddle going. The play call was for trusty #37, with the hand off to Alexander, he punches it through for a TD. Going up 7-0, the Seattle Seahawks look to make game out of it.

The punishment continue through the first quarter, 21-0, a bludgeoning. Then in the second quarter the Hawks put another 14 points to go ahead 35-0 at the half. That is right, at the half.

The third quarter showed that hawks aren't invincible and the Gaints where able to put some points on the board. The final score was the Seahawks 42 the Gaints 30. The Seattle Seahawks were in to win...for the whole 60 minutes. BOO YAOOOO!!

Hasselbeck, even throwing the first inception, came away with 5 TD passes. That is 35 points and good movement of the football. Hasselbeck showed leadership especially in the face of hardship. Shaking off the his first pass he came back and rallied to give the Hawks and early half lead. 35-0, from where I come from, that is a lead.

The Hawks are now 3-0 on the season and who brought the noise NFL commissionaires? Trusty number 12. The fans ripped and roared. My buddies called me through the game and I couldn't hear shit. The 12th Fan continues to shake Seattle!!

RIP THERE FACES OFF!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-09-25T00:58:03Z</dcterms:modified>

Hey 12th Fan!!

This Sunday, the NFL Pregame Show will be hosted right here in Quest Field as the Seattle Seahawks host the New York Giants. I have been talking to people about what to expect during the game. My prediction is NOISE and PAIN!!

Noise and Pain, Noise and Pain. It is going to be a great game and I am totally stoked. Here is the injury report from the Hawks website...yea I copied and pasted it, ah well. These are for Wednesday and Thursday. Friday's report isn't out yet but I am thinking little will change leading into Sunday, read full injury report.

Our offense needs to catch the football and establish a run game. Sources, hehhe, tell me that the Hawks are practicing with 3, 4 and 5 receiver sets to help open up that run game. Also, we should Deon Branch play his first game as a Seahawk! I am anxiuos to see what is going to happen...let's bomb it out and get some TD's.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-09-25T00:28:51Z</dcterms:modified>

Seahawks piping in crowd noise

In a atricle published by The Seattle Times titled Opponents Trying to quite Quest Field? there are now acuisations floating around that the Seahawks organization is piping in fake crowd noise to increase the crowd level in the stadium and give the Seahawks and unfair advantage when playing opponents at home.

This comes about from last years game at Quest Field where the Seattle Fans help create 11 false starts by the New York Giants offense. Being at that the game, I can personally speak for the crowd level and it was 100% natural. As one false started the crowd got into more and as more created it fueled the fire that Hawk Fans have been waiting to unleash for 20 years. In the Times article Lofa Tatupu is quoted saying "That's where it all started" and he is exaclty right.

That unleashed the beast that all Hawk Fans have. Being a season ticket holder, but unable to make this years Giants game, I gave my ticket to one of my close friends for his wedding present. He better yell his ass off or I will round house him like Chuck Norris. Getting back on topic.

I can't believe that people would evening bring this topic up...evidently they have never been to Hawk game and ever lived in our area and know what it is like to finally have a KICK ASS TEAM!! Emotions rule the roost and we will being the noise to all teams that dare to have a schedule that puts them in our house!

12 Fans STAND UP...STAND UP....AND RIP THEIR FACES OFF!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-09-21T04:36:13Z</dcterms:modified>

Seattle Seahawks vs Arizona Cardinals

What a game that was. The Seattle Seahawks opened up the game with chain moving football. Hasselbeck completed passes and even connected to DJAX for a 42 year TD pass to the Hawks up 7-0. The Cardinals offense couldn't keep pace with Seattle's offense because the Hawk defense kept sacking Warner and played solid coverage on the Cardinals receivers.

As the game progress Seattle continued to move the football and Alexander started to show us why he is the Rushing Record holder. My poinding the football consistently the Hawks set up and short rush for to their second touchdown. Having a 14-0 lead entering the half I thought the offense woudl come out hammering the ball down field.

The third quarter was weak to say the least. The Hawks look to relaxed and didn't bring the offense cahin moving to their game. Thankfully the defense stepped and held the Cardinals to only 3 points. Peterson pounded on Warner a few tinmes, 2 sacks, and pass rushed enough to keep the offense off balance. the defense really held the game until the offense could regain composure.

Putting another TD on the board was none other than Mack Strong. Hasselbeck called his number on the goal and he came through. Being consistent and reliable is Mack is all about. Got STRONG? The Seattle Seahawks won their season opener 21-10 in Quest Field.

2-0 and next week we have another home game which will a be a rematch from last years OT game against the New Yor Gaints. See ya there!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-09-18T01:35:08Z</dcterms:modified>

Seattle Seahawks Home Opener

This weekend the Seattle Seahawks host the Arizona Cardinals in their second regular season game. The Seahawks are coming off a win on the road against the Lions starting off with a record of 1-0. The first home of the season looks to be an all out roudy blattle. The Cardinals would have not forgot the intensity of the Seahawk Fans and the noise they create. Even with all their good players it will be hard to beat the Seattle Seahawks at home especially since verbal play calls are near impossible.

In the off season Arizona added some big names to their roster like Edgerrin James and Matt Leinart. The Arizona Cardinals are looking to have a better year than last season where they finish 2-14 and retaining players like Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin they might have a chance. Might is the million dallor word.

Being plaqued by a week offense line the Arizona Cardinals have a difficult time getting enough pass protection for Kurt Warner. Playing in the Hawks House is going to be very difficult because of the amplittude our fans can create for our defense. I wouldn't be surprised if Tatupu, Peterson and Bennard all have sacks in this game. Bring on the beat-down.

Sorry Warner, but I am afraid you are going to be sore come Monday. What am I saying I won't be sorry :) So wear your Blue/Green to work tomorrow and show your 12th Fan support for the Greatest Team in the NFL, YOUR SEATTLE SEAHAWKS!!

Toby's New Saying: RIP HIS FACE OFF!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-09-15T01:12:09Z</dcterms:modified>

Seattle Seahawks vs Detriot Lions - Season Opener

Yesturday was the Seattle Seahawks season opener and two of my best friends decided to come over. The game was at 10:00am so needless to say I darn near slept in...but getting up in the nic of time I got the tv fired up and stereo volume loud just to see kick-off. When my buddies arrived, Brian and WillDawg, The nachos hit the oven and we commenced to yelling at the TV.

The game was played in Detriot, location of Superbowl XL, of all places but this time instead of the Steelers the Seahawks faced the Detriot Lions. The game was a battle of defenses and neither offense could get any production. When half time came the score was 6-3 with the Hawks leading by 3. The Hawk defense looked good, especially our secondary but the biggest surprise is when Josh Brown had 2, that's right, 2 field goals blocked. The second half was the same story with more field goals being added and as luck would have it, Josh Brown kicked a 42 yarder for the game winning field with zero time left on the clock. GO SEAHAWKS!!

It was a rough one to watch because the whole time it was like we might loose this one. But thank goodness we did not. The Seattle Seahawks are slowly improving their season opener record but it is still the worst in the NFL. One of those stats that got really out of wack during our 20 years of crappiness.

One another football note. The Washington Huskies played the Oklahoma Sooners. The Dawgs were having a great game until the second half and a game changing fumble-recovery-fumble-recovery. The ball changed hands twice on the Sooners 2 yard line which gave the Huskies and opportunity to get 6f on the board. But they fumbled and gave the ball back to the sooners. That marked the beginning of the end and Sooners ended up winning. But it was an impressive first half by the Huskies and they are 1-1 in the season. GO DAWGS!!

Hope your team did well and now I am outta here!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-09-12T00:10:01Z</dcterms:modified>

Seahawks vs Raiders

The Seattle Seahawks bludgeoned the Oakland Raiders in a 30-7 victor at Quest Field. With the Hawks winning the coin toss and choosing to receive it looked as if the first points of the game would go to Seattle. Nope. The Seahawks went three and out and decided to punt the ball away instead of going for it on 4th and 3. It was a stellar punt but the unthinkable happened. The punt was returned for a Raiders touchdown. With the extra point made the Raiders took an early 0-7 lead.

That just gets the blood going and for the rest of the football game it was all Seahawks.

On the very next drive, Hasselbeck ran for a ground breaking 25 yards to set up a Seahawks first down. With pressure coming from the outside and his receivers covered, Hasselbeck took full advantage of the wide open field to run for a 25 yard gain (it may have been the longest run of the evening). Next play, pass interference on the defense, Seahawks 1st down. Now inside the red zone, the Hawks do what they do best, score touchdowns. Hasselbeck handed it off to Alexander and then he headed left, but no room, so Alexander roles and heads right. Covering sideline to sideline and receiving a super block Engram, Shaun gets into the end zone for 6. With the extra point good the Hawks have made it a 7-7 ball game.

That would the last time the starting offense would take the field but the scoring didn’t stop there. Wallace came in to lead the offense and after scrambling and contenting on some great passes, the Hawks were back inside the red zone. Still going after the pas game, Wallace found Hackett in the end zone for a brilliant catch. Wallace scrambled to by time and Hackett got open in the very back of the end zone. With the pass in the air, Hackett jumped and caught the ball getting the left foot down and his right heel down before falling out of bounds. Perfect catch for TD and a perfect extra point by Brown the Seahawks now take a 14-7 lead.

The next few quarters the Seahawks brought in Greene, who seen the most time at QB in his whole career. He looked like he has been waiting for this moment for a long time. A little rusty but comfortable, Greene made good passes; great hand offs to Weaks and moved the football down field. He moved them down field enough to setup 3 Brown field goals, 42 – 51 – 38, before getting inside the red zone. Capitalizing on opportunity, Greene handed the football off to Weaks for another Seahawks towndown.

With the score 30-7 the Hawks had a comfortable lead in the final minutes of the game. But did they give up, Nope; the defense came back on the field and picked off Tuiasosopo with 1:47 left in the 4th quarter. Game Over!!

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-09-01T18:19:53Z</dcterms:modified>

Damn it has been awhile...

Damn it has been awhile since I last posted. Forgive me since I have been working on my ActiveRain profile/blog. It takes alot of time, as all us Spacers know, and the catch 22 of the AR network is rank is determined by points. So when the work stops on the page so do the incoming points. This enables other people to beat you out for key positioning but at least I am #2 in my county and #1 in my city of business, Marysville :) Not too shabby.

Moving on...The Seattle Seahawks host the Oakland Raiders tonight in our last preseason game. RIP THEIR HEADS OFF, COMPLETELY OFF, RIPP IT OFF!! Oops...I had a game moment come over me just then. It should be a great game and there are some old Huskies who play for the Raiders who will be back in town for the first time in a while, Tuiasosopo. I am excited and should be extremely fun!! Go Seahawks!!

Well got to be getting back to work...i guess...don't really want today but ah well thats life :P

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-08-31T17:19:55Z</dcterms:modified>

Seattle Seahawks

Tonight at 8:00pm the Seattle Seahawks face up against the San Diego Chargers in San Diego. This should be a monster of a preason game with 2 of the best running backs in the NFL going for endzone. I look for it to be a precursor of a game which will be replaid on Christmas Eve here in Seattle.

Go Seahawks!! Wahhooooo....AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA....Rip there heads off!!

Last week there was tons of action coming from our new line backer Julian Peterson #44. He is a bad ass and he brings another pulverizing asset to our already beafy defense. In the regular season look for Lofa Tatupu and Julian Peterson to lay down many beatdowns on quarterbacks, receivers and running backs.

My favorite player, Matt Hasselbeck, has been looking good in the preason games and this last week at training camp. With his passing highly accurate and it looks like he has been in the gym, GETTING PUMPED UP. Look for Hasselbeck to really put air under the football tonight. You ROCK #8, I have a Hasselbeck Jersy I wear every friday to work and at each game!

On another note. WTF is up with an 8:00pm West Coast game? That means it airs at 11:00pm on the East Coast. Who ever thought of this time to play needs to have their head examined. Actually come over to my place and I'll examine it with pimp slappin hand. Pie-Yaooo....you've been smacked the f*** out.

Ah well....i guess it make for a fun evening. Anyhoo I am outta here to finish watching the Jets & Giants game.

Lai-tro

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-08-26T23:41:08Z</dcterms:modified>

Seahawks Sunday

At 5:00pm PST the Indianapolis Colts hos the Seattle Seahawks in the second preason game of the 2006 seaason. This is a rematch of last years Christmas Eve game where the Seahawks defense denied Payton Manning the endzone and the Colts turned it over on downs. Manning is not used to being denied the endzone but here is Seattle the happens to alot fo teams.

This game will very different from a Christmas Eve game. Being preason the starters should play to long due the risk of injury. The guys are coming over for Mega Nachos and FOOTBALL!! It should be fun. My buddy provided some pictures from the game last week when the Seahawks hosted the Dallas Cowboys in Quest Field. So instead of adding pictures to this page all week I instead created a Seahawks 2006 page on the real estate site.

All of us have jersys, mine is #8. Others are #51, #23 & #37...Two offense and two defensive...kinda of irronic. It was a must for this season and they sorta make ya feel badass when wearing it. I usually don't wear sports aparrall in my normal day to day gear. Hopefully the guys wear theirs when they come down from Marytown.

PowerblockTV is on Spike right now and it makes it hard to type because of all the cool performance stuff I wanna look at. Last week they had Joe Gibbs Silverado on Trucks and since then I been really outlining the setup for my 03 Silverado. My friends borrowed my truck for a week when he went on vacation to Ocean Shores, view Truck & Chick Pics. I won't give away any secret just yet...i'll wait until i have money saved for that.

<msn:type>blogentry</msn:type><live:type>blogentry</live:type><live:typelabel>Blog entry</live:typelabel>

<dcterms:modified>2006-08-23T17:27:51Z</dcterms:modified>

In the news...

In the news this week are some interesting items regarding the Seattle Seahawks.

I. Mini Camps have started

II. The 12th Man debate has ended

III. Seahawks training camp with be moved to Renton from Kirkland

So the season is almost under and now the players are getting their grove on in the mini camps. I would like to go watch a practice/mini camp one day and take some pics. Seening all the players go through a gruling work out would be fun and maybe even give me pointers on how I could improve my work out.

Texas A&M and the Seattle Seahawks have settle the copyright infridgement lawsuit. Now both team will be able to use the saying but there are some stipulations. Texas will continue to have the copyright and exclusive use but the Seahawks can use it under a license agreement. I think it is good that we can use the term and now that debate is over we can get on with our "12th Man Mania". It is also most time to bring the noise. Who wants to play in our stadium? Probably just the Hawks.

Kirkland has been home to the Hawks headquarters and training camp as long as I have been alive and now it is going to move. That sucks! I like living in the city in which they trained and such. I met Bobbie Engram in an apartment building I lived at when we road the elevator. At the time I was interning with the Seattle Mariners and he just finished beating the Raiders in Oakland and just got home. Now my chances of bumping into players will go down. I am pretty sure I have seen more players but they have been in the vehicles. You can tell because they are blacked out with 26inch rims.

As the season draws nearer my friends and I are counting down the days to the start of our season. This is it for me.
